2024 Fall Immersion Program

Program Overview

The Immersion Program was started due to the glaring problem undergraduates and recent graduates face securing roles within high finance. Many candidates believe that a degree from an accredited university and a 3.5 GPA will afford them a competitive resume worthy of an internship within investment banking or venture capital and this is simply not the case. EGIS Careers offers candidates who are looking for an alternative learning opportunity to academic instruction in school and “finance internships” available that do not offer the opportunity to work on client transactions the chance to gain valuable experience akin to a full-time Analyst. Our employer partners have been vetted, over many years, to ensure their dedication to offering interns exposure to client work and the opportunity to have responsibility and make a material impact. The firms you will interview with will be investment banks or venture capital firms based in Los Angeles, Chicago or New York with an average of 2-3 rounds of interview evaluation. Note, all candidates will receive interview training ahead of each round. All participants will work remotely for the duration of program (training and internship). Our firms, focused within the lower-middle market, vary in sector focus but some examples of deals you will have the opportunity to work on include biotech, healthcare, industrials, infrastructure, TMT and energy. The main purpose of the program is to prepare candidates with full-time Analyst level responsibility and experience to make them competitive for roles they wish to pursue in the future whether that be full-time or future internships.

Schedule

The program dates are Monday, September 16th to Friday, December 6th. The program begins with a 2-week training and immediately follows with a 10-week internship. Training includes a minimum of one, daily instruction session (typically 60-90 minutes) followed by an assignment (actual client work for the bank/firm) to be completed usually within 24-48 hours. The program is designed for candidates who are working or in a full-time university course schedule.

With a focus on practical application, you'll be equipped with the tools necessary to thrive in the competitive finance landscape.

• Preparing a Market Update Memo

  • Equity research on public markets with detail on 5 year projected value increase

• Building a DCF Financial Model

• You will have the opportunity to build your own financial model that can be shared with future employers you interview with

• Comparative Analysis + Pitch Deck Presentation 

• Include detailed diligence on market competitors and valuation with final pitch presentation

Guaranteed Internship Placement

Take the next step in your career with confidence! Your internship placement will begin immediately after your enrollment and typically requires 2-3 weeks to secure. You will have to interview at the banks after being setup for evaluations by your EGIS Placement Team. The internship will last 10 weeks and will start immediately after the training program. From resume revision to interview coaching, we're committed to helping you kickstart your professional journey in finance. Additionally, you’ll have internship oversight and mid-internship evaluations to ensure you’re gaining experience and value.

We understand that the program fees might be difficult to produce while not being employed, therefore, we do offer payment plans. By partnering with STRIPE, we’re able to offer you various payment options. Most candidates qualify for an interest-free installment plan which breaks out payments on the deposit or the balance in four installments over six weeks.
