Immersion Program Overview

The 2024 Fall Immersion 12-week Program dates are Monday, September 16th, 2024 to Friday, December 6th, 2024. The program begins with a 2-week training and immediately follows with a 10-week internship. Dive into a comprehensive 2 week training program designed by the EGIS Careers team through their network of 5,000+ employers. Learn from deal-making experts, investment professionals and veterans with decades of experience. Gain insights from real-world projects across various sectors such as Consumer, Energy, Healthcare, Biotech and more with deal exposure on capital raising, sell-side and buy-side advisory transactions. Opportunities exist within investment banks, private equity and venture capital.

Expert Curriculum

Depending upon the candidate’s area of interest and the firm they are placed within, employers will have the opportunity to customize their training curriculum and schedule. Past employers have delivered trainings on investing due diligence, term sheets, investment reports, industry research, and more. With a focus on practical application, you'll be equipped with the tools necessary to thrive in the competitive finance landscape.

Some of the topics covered include:

  • Preparing a Market Update Memo

    • Equity research on public markets with detail on 5 year projected value increase

  • Profiling a Publicly Traded Company

    • Utilization of Capital IQ, PitchBook and Morningstar to generate quantitative and qualitative data points

  • Comparative Analysis + Pitch Presentation 

    • Include detailed diligence on market competitors and valuation with final pitch presentation

  • Building a Financial Model

    • Depending on the firm, a chance to learn DCFs, LBOs, Market Comparables Method, Multiples Method and more

  • Review Key Financial Statements

    • Have the opportunity to learn how to analyze balance sheets, income statements and cash flows along with investing documents like term sheets

EGIS Support

EGIS Careers will conduct a “week one check in” with all participants after one week of training along with a “mid-internship evaluation” halfway through the program and share all feedback with the host employer. Challenges are inevitable during our programs and we work alongside our partner to ensure they are able to deliver the most rewarding and comprehensive experience possible to participants.
